The body of the Freehand Mg is made of 99% magnesium, with the remaining 1% consisting of a chemical stabilizer that increases the strength and stability of the magnesium on a molecular level. Each body half is individually forged and then machined with a computer controlled lathe to within 1/100,000th of an inch tolerance.
The ball-bearing axle is a combination of surgical-grade stainless steel and silicone nitride for long, smooth spins.
The CYZ designation identifies this as a ceramic bearing which is 5-10 times smoother than steel.
